I am an Apple- and Adobe-certified instructor, currently working full-time for Future Media Concepts in Cambridge MA. I teach primarily Apple IT courses: OS X troubleshooting, OS X Server, Final Cut Server and XSAN. I also still teach Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign when I’m needed, and Apple’s Final Cut Studio.
In my free time, what little I have, I am a freelance video editor and motion graphics designer. I also consult on-site and help implement Xsan and Final Cut Server installations in Mac facilities around Massachusetts.
I also speak at several conferences around the country each year; you can usually find me at NAB in Las Vegas every April, Post Production World in new York in the fall, and the Government Video Expo in D.C. in the winter.
I will occasionally post to this blog to enhance my classes, and post links to companies, sites and products I can’t live without. I’ll also post if I need to amend something I have previously discussed in class, whether it is because a product has been updated, or I find out I was just wrong the first time. 🙂
If you don’t want do visit this blog again and again to see if I have updated, you can friend me on Facebook. My wall will let you know when I have posted something substantial here, and I also post quick tips there on a regular basis. Free content!
What I promise not to do is post mundane news stories on a frequent basis. There are plenty of excellent news sites you can go to for things like that. I have some listed at the bottom of this blog. Thanks for visiting, and don’t hesitate to email me if you have a question or comment.
